Thank you, Kim Barto, for providing the homeowners with a new phone directory.  It was a creative presentation and nice surprise to receive it during the holidays.  You did a great job, Kim!

The entranceway during the holidays looked fabulous!  This writer, and others I am sure, received many comments about how great it looked.  Check out the website to see some beautiful pictures of it being decorated.  Many thanks go to Cathy Herold, Bob and Theresa Scott, and Christie Frenchie for making it look so lovely! WELCOME - NEW 2008 BOARD MEMBERS

Three new members have joined the board for the 2008 year.  They are Galen Black, Christie Frenchie, and Angie Ladd.  Welcome! In each Meadowlark, we will present a little about one of the new board members.  This month, it will be Galen Black.

Galen Black has lived on Creighton Drive for 7 ½ years with his wife, Liz.  They have a dog named Shamba and a cat named Tommy.  Between the two of them they have five grown children and seven grandchildren.  Galen has recently retired from being the minister at the United Methodist Church in Cleveland.  His hobbies are gardening and photography.  He belongs to a Master Gardeners group and the Potting Shed Garden Club. Galen’s reason for wanting to serve on the Board is “to give something back to the neighborhood”.  He is absolutely delighted to serve as President!

MEADOW’S HOMEOWNERS MEETING

The Annual Meeting for all homeowners will be held in April this year.  At this meeting, you will be able to meet your new Board members.  You also will be informed of the plans for the upcoming year.  Your ideas of what you want to see accomplished will be welcome as well.  We will notify you of the date as the time gets closer.

GOODBYE TO THE 2007 BOARD

The following 2007 board members have put in many hours of service to make this community a better place to live.  Their energy and selfless service in the neighborhood association is greatly appreciated by the entire community.  Good luck Dave, Jerome, and John in your future endeavors!

STRAY DOGS

Three stray dogs have been roaming the neighborhood.  Two dogs are always together…a red Irish setter and a small white dog.  The third is an unfriendly black lab.  If anyone knows who these dogs belong to, please call one of the trustees.  One of the trustees will be happy to contact the owner.

COMMUNITY WEBSITE

The Meadowlark will continue to be placed on the community website, in addition to it being delivered to the homes.  The website will also contain pictures and other information from time to time.  Please post the web address www.associationcommunication.com/auburn.html in a convenient location so you can access it when needed. 

SPEED LIMIT REMINDER

Please be mindful of the speed limit here in the Meadows.  The corner of Meadow Lane and Curry Lane is dangerous to walkers and joggers when someone is speeding and making a right turn onto Curry from Meadow Lane.  Please drive carefully and watch out for the people coming around the corner at this intersection.

BABYSITTING

If you are in need of a babysitter or if you want an opportunity to baby-sit, please call any of the trustees listed below. We will put people in touch with each other.

2008 HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION BOARD MEMBERS

Board meetings begin at 7:30 pm and are held on the second Monday of each month.  The meetings are open to all homeowners.  If you plan to attend, contact the host.  The next meeting is March 10, at the home of Claudine Steinfurth.
